The founders and staff of the W.O.L.F. Sanctuary learned a long time ago that open-minded humans can and do receive communications from other species.  Most humans are not in tune with this intuitive sense and others are very gifted.  Bonnie is one of the ‘very gifted’ and has been called on by W.O.L.F. numerous times to help with decisions about a wolf’s well-being and personal wishes.  Bonnie’s gift has helped either validate our own sense of the situation or brought new insights, which have helped us to make serious decisions for the best interest of the wolves in our care.  We can not state strongly enough how valuable her gift has been to our organization.  Frank Wendland, Cofounder, W.O.L.F. I know Bonnie Starr has had many experiences in working with animals first hand and her intuitive nature is a major factor in her understanding of them and being able to help the animal's human companion tune into how the animal is feeling or what they would want.  Knowing this, it was clear to me that she was the one I should talk to about my cat, Lucky.  What I felt she did was to help me "tune in" and "pick up on" signs from Lucky that he was aware of his body condition. I remember Bonnie Starr asking me what would be a sign from him that he is ready to go, at which point I said he would quit eating.  He agreed.  In the last few days I knew he wasn't in pain, but he had quit eating and I did think he was suffering, so I knew he was ready to go.    M.
